Registration

How do I register for a tournament?
Go to the Tournaments page, open the event card, and register using the official form. If the event is paid, payment confirms your spot.
Do I need to pay to register?
Only if the tournament is marked as paid. Free events do not require payment. Paid events require successful checkout to lock in your entry.
I paid — what happens next?
You’ll be redirected to a success page with next steps. Your next move is joining Discord for check-in, updates, and official announcements.
I didn’t get a confirmation — am I registered?
First, check your email receipt/spam folder. If you still don’t see it, email support@mfrsgaming.net with your in-game name and the email used at checkout.

Discord & Verification

Do I have to join Discord?
For most events, yes. Discord is where check-in happens and where we post real-time schedule updates, match info, and announcements. If you don’t join, you may miss required steps and risk disqualification.
How do I get the “Registered Player” role?
Follow the success page instructions and post your info in the designated check-in channel. A staff member will match your message to your registration and assign the role.
How long does verification take?
Usually within 24 hours. Closer to event start time, verification is typically faster.
What should I include in check-in?
Use the same email + gamer tag you registered with. Typical check-in format:

Tournament Basics

What games do you run tournaments for?
We host competitive tournaments across multiple titles. Current events are listed on the Tournaments page.
How are matches organized?
Match format, lobbies, and check-in steps are posted in Discord before the event. You’ll be told where to go, when to join, and what to do.
What time zone do you use?
The tournament page lists the official time zone. If you’re unsure, check the pinned tournament post in Discord.
What if I’m late or I don’t check in?
To keep events on schedule, missed check-in may result in disqualification. Join Discord early and watch announcements.
What if I disconnect or have technical issues?
Rules vary by tournament. In general, you’re responsible for your own connection and setup. If the event format allows rehosts/pauses, staff will announce the policy in Discord.

Rules & Fair Play

What are the main rules?
Each event posts specific rules. In general: no cheating, no harassment, no exploiting, and follow moderator instructions.
What happens if someone cheats or breaks rules?
Penalties can include warnings, match forfeits, disqualification, prize forfeiture, and bans from future events. Staff decisions are made to protect competitive integrity.
Can MFRS change rules or schedules?
If needed to keep the event fair and running smoothly, we may adjust rules or scheduling. Important changes are announced before play begins.

Prizes

Is there more than one prize?
It depends on the event. Prize placement and amounts are always listed on the tournament page.
How do prize payouts work?
Winners are contacted using the registration info provided. Payout timing and method may vary and may require verification.
What if there’s a dispute about results?
We may review screenshots/clips, match logs, and moderator observations. Final decisions are made to protect fairness and integrity.

Refunds & Support

Do you offer refunds?
Yes — our official refund policy is listed in Terms & Conditions. In general, refunds are available up to 48 hours before start time (email-only requests). Email support@mfrsgaming.net with your registration email + in-game name.
How do I contact MFRS?

Where can I find official announcements?
Discord announcements are the source of truth for event updates and schedule changes.
