WE DO NOT SELL FOR MONEY OPT-OUT REQUESTS SUPPORTED VERIFIED AS REQUIRED BY LAW

Fastest option: email support@mfrsgaming.net with subject: “Do Not Sell/Share Request”.

1. Overview

This page explains how you can request that MFRS Gaming not “sell” or “share” your personal information, as those terms may be defined under certain U.S. state privacy laws (including California privacy laws).

Our position

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose limited information to service providers who help us operate the website and tournaments.

Public tournament results

To support competitive integrity, event results and leaderboards may be public (typically gamer tags/usernames, teams, rankings, and outcomes).

For more detail, review our Privacy Policy.

2. What “Sell” or “Share” Means

Some privacy laws define “sell” broadly to include disclosing personal information in exchange for money or other valuable consideration. “Share” may include disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising (sometimes called “targeted advertising”).

  • Service providers: vendors that process data only to provide services to us (hosting, email delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, payments).
  • Public results: leaderboards and results may display gamer tags/usernames and stats tied to participation.
  • Cookies: we may use cookies or similar tech for security, preferences, and performance measurement.

Important: A “Do Not Sell/Share” opt-out does not prevent us from using necessary service providers to run the website, process payments, protect security, enforce rules, or operate tournaments.

3. Our Practices

We do not sell personal information for money. If we use analytics or similar tools, they are used to measure site performance and improve Services.

Targeted advertising: If we ever engage in cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by law, we will provide an opt-out here and honor verified requests as required by applicable law.

Note: Opt-out requests do not remove tournament outcomes that must remain public for fairness, recordkeeping, and integrity (for example, leaderboard rankings tied to gamer tags/usernames).

4. Your Choices

Depending on your location and our practices, you may be able to:

Opt out of “sale/share” (where applicable)

Submit a request and we’ll honor it as required by applicable law after verification.

Control cookies

Use your browser settings to block/clear cookies. Some features may be affected.

Request access / deletion / correction

You can request a copy of your information or ask us to correct/delete it, subject to legal and operational limits.

If you registered for an event, include the same email you used at registration/checkout so we can locate records faster.

5. Submit a Request

To keep requests reliable on Squarespace, this form opens your email client with a pre-filled message. We may request additional information to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

This opens your email app with a pre-filled request.

Prefer manual? Email support@mfrsgaming.net with the subject line “Privacy Request” or “Do Not Sell/Share Request”.

6. Verification & Authorized Agents

To protect your privacy and prevent fraud, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Verification requirements depend on the request type and the sensitivity of the information involved.

  • Verification signals: we may ask you to confirm details tied to your account/event registration (for example, the email used at checkout, gamer tag, event name/date, or platform ID).
  • Deletion/access requests: may require stronger verification than an opt-out request.
  • We do not use verification info for marketing.

Authorized agents (where applicable): You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity (and/or confirmation directly from you) as permitted or required by law.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): If you use a browser or extension that sends a GPC signal, we may treat it as a request to opt out of “sale/share” on that browser/device where required by applicable law. Because GPC is browser/device-specific, we may still need you to submit a request for account-based actions.

7. Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This means we won’t deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of services solely because you submitted a verified privacy request, except as permitted by applicable law.

8. Appeals

If we deny your request (for example, because we cannot verify identity or due to a legal exception), you may appeal where applicable.

Email support@mfrsgaming.net with subject: “Privacy Appeal”.
